Wedding car photography in London

The arrival, the ribbon and the detail shots, and the couple with the car — covered properly instead of squeezed in between group shots. Booked on its own, or alongside wider coverage of the day.

£110 per hour · 1 hour minimum · delivered in 3–5 days

Why the car gets booked separately

On most wedding days the car is the one thing nobody photographs properly. It arrives, everyone gets out, and by the time the main photographer is free the ribbons are crooked, the flowers have moved and the car has been reparked behind a van.

Car photography is the specialism here, so the car is treated as a subject in its own right: correct angles, clean backgrounds, honest colour on the paintwork, and details — ribbons, badge, wheels, dressed interior — shot while they are still perfect. The couple then get a set of portraits with the car, which are usually among the images they actually print.

This works either as standalone coverage alongside your existing photographer, or as part of full event coverage at the same £110 hourly rate.

What gets covered

One hour is the minimum and usually enough. Longer bookings add hours at the same rate.

The arrival

15 min
  • Car approaching and pulling up
  • Door opening, the first step out
  • Ribbons, flowers and dressing while pristine
  • Driver and car together if wanted

The details

10 min
  • Badge, grille, chrome and wheels
  • Dressed interior and rear seats
  • Rings or shoes staged on the car
  • Reflections of the venue in the paintwork

The portraits

20 min
  • Couple with the car, posed and candid
  • Inside the car, looking out
  • Wider frames with the venue behind
  • Departure shots if the timing allows

How it fits into the day

Before the day

Send the date, the venue, the car and roughly when it arrives. If you have a running order from your planner or main photographer, that is the most useful thing to share — the car slot gets planned around it rather than clashing with it.

On the day

Arrival is covered first. After the ceremony, fifteen to twenty quiet minutes with the couple and the car produces the portraits — far more workable than trying to grab them during the receiving line. Where the car appears twice, once for arrival and again for the departure, a two-hour booking covers both ends without paying for the gap.

After the day

Every frame is edited by hand and delivered in a private gallery within 3–5 days, at full resolution and in sizes ready for social. Albums from £90 and canvas prints from £55 are available afterwards. Deposits, cancellation and weather terms are set out in the booking policies.

Car work from recent shoots

These are studio-free, on-location frames from recent car sessions — the same approach used for wedding cars.

Wedding car questions

How much does wedding car photography cost?

£110 per hour with a one-hour minimum. A single hour is usually enough to cover the arrival, the car details and a set of portraits with the car. Longer bookings simply add hours at the same rate, and a half-day or full-day quote can be put together if the car appears at several points in the day.

Can you photograph just the car, not the whole wedding?

Yes, and it is one of the more common bookings. Couples who already have a main photographer often book car coverage separately so the car gets proper attention while the main photographer stays with the guests and the ceremony.

When is the best time to photograph the wedding car?

Two windows work best: the arrival, when the car, the ribbons and the flowers are still pristine, and a short slot after the ceremony for portraits with the car once the formalities are done. Fifteen quiet minutes with the couple and the car produces more usable frames than an hour of snatched shots during the rush.

Do you cover classic and supercars?

Yes. Classic cars, modern supercars, vintage buses and dressed saloons are all shot the same way — clean angles, honest colour, and detail shots that show the paint, the chrome and the dressing as they actually looked on the day.

What if it rains?

Wet weather is worked around rather than cancelled — wet paintwork reflects beautifully and umbrellas photograph well. If conditions would genuinely affect the session, an alternative is agreed directly, and the deposit stays transferable or refundable under the booking policies.

Can you bring a second photographer?

Yes. A second shooter is +£60 per hour, which is worth it when the car arrival and the guest arrival happen at the same time in two different places.

How soon do we get the photos?

An edited gallery is delivered digitally within 3–5 days as standard, in a private link you can share with family. Albums start at £90 and canvas prints at £55 if you want something physical.
